hey teja do you know by chance what guitar you guys used to record the opening riff (over the “Acoustic? Guitar Mag” title shot)?

  7. AcousticGuitarMag on February 28th, 2011 9:26 am

@magliulo: That is an excerpt of my tune “5927 California Street,” as recorded on my Postcards CD.? The guitar is a Custom Shop Martin OM with Indian rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top.

@AcousticGuitarMag I have been looking into getting a Martin. Would you recommend a 000-15 or a larger model like the D-28. I love to fingerpick. Also, the last little bit you played, I am writing songs and I love the feel? of that piece. What scales should I look at in order to incorporate such a feel into my music? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks!

Street price! Sounds like a drug haha. Suppose you could argue music is a? kind of drug – the best kind :)

These are good, brief, to-the-point reviews. Well? done. I’m going through them in order and finding them valuable. This will save me many hours of research in the shops.

Do you have to review EVERY guitar with this horrible open tuning? Just tune it properly and play it properly.?

  16. davidphilipsmusic on September 25th, 2011 12:49 pm

At last a demo with someone who can really play! Love? these guitars… play and sound just fantastic. I prefer them to many of the more expensive acoustics by martin and other makes. Great demo.
