  16. grafx5 on August 6th, 2011 9:37 pm

@Earthpeace420 Yes, let’s all say the same thing that has been already said. His song is so beautiful! It’s… uh… nice, and good, and it’s art, and inspiring, and I give up playing guitar, and it’s inspired me to play guitar again, and x number of people did something, and I just came.

    Happy?

This is how solo acoustic guitar compositions should be nice, simple and clean. No fancy showoff tricks which kill the music. Man i hate that two handed tapping that some acoustic guitarist use. 90 percent of the time it is misused and music is horrible. It’s more like a technical exercise for guitar rather than a song. This guy is pure genius loved it.

Ive gotta stop praising Gareth cos I dont want to spread a net before his feet but its difficult to do that when you hear him play. This moved me to tears. The beauty of Gareth Pearson !

Gareth has amazing talent and his own style. He plays homage to his heroes and influences yet manages to write unique and interesting originals. Awesome.

@kaputasri pretty broad statement to say that’s it’s all misused. i mean stuff like Drifting by Andy Mckee seems like a song for show (nothing against Andy Mckee, love his playing too). But there’s plenty of tapping song’s that i think are just as beautiful as this piece. Some of Andy Dufour’s and Justin King’s pieces.
